I’m Looking Through Your Window by Giovanni Benvenuto
Photographed in Milan, “I’m Looking Through Your Window” by Giovanni Benvenuto investigates the intimate world of youth; images caught inside the houses where his friends live.

“A house is a safe place. They are happy here and they can feel free and far removed from the outside world and the routines that comes with it. This space is an expression of who they are: ‘We wake up, and we are together. No matter if you can play or you have to work, it’s safe and calm if you sing along.’”
These houses are the youth’s cribs: kitchens, bedrooms, and living rooms, representing a perfect playground rather than functional spaces.

“This is the happy house
We′re happy here in the happy house
To forget ourselves and pretend all's well
There is no hell.”
(Siouxie and the Banshees, Happy House)
