The Spock shoe by Haruta was introduced in 1955. Inspired by the shoes worn by English doctors at the time, the shoe was also called a “vestment shoe”, referring to the fact that it was mostly worn by priests, preachers and other people who worked in relation to the church. Shoe runs true to size. Haruta has been meticulously making shoes in Japan since 1977, paying careful attention to every aspect of manufacturing across make, stitching, thread and leather qualities selected for each pair.
